StepUP Webinar Green Storytelling: practical tools for writers and producers - recording is now available

On Monday, October 12, we welcomed four international writers and filmmakers to discuss how to integrate environmental issues into screenplays. The speakers shared insights on conveying messages effectively without being heavy-handed or relying on clichés that deter audiences.

Stories shape how we see the world. This webinar, "Green Storytelling: practical tools for writers and producers," explores how climate and environmental themes can find their way into your narratives without compromising creativity or audience engagement.

Together, we'll ask why climate deserves a place in our stories, and look at the many ways to weave environmental themes into a plot, a setting, or a character's journey. Our international panelists will share concrete techniques to avoid the usual clichés and greenwashing tropes, examine what impact a film or series can realistically have on an audience, and discuss how to make sustainability on screen genuinely inclusive and accessible. You'll leave with practical tools to tell stories that matter and that resonate.
